Back On The Wagon

Ok, from here on out, I am officially going to be posting (attempting to post?) three times a week.  I did so well last year.  I am using this blog as a way to stay in contact/update friends and family, but also in large part this is something I’m going to enjoy looking back on in years to come I’m sure.  I’ve kept a written journal, most notably the one I kept while in South Korea.  It was my most consistent time of writing.  Hey, what are you going to do in the evenings in a country where you speak none of their language, they speak little of yours, and you’re mostly on your own?  I threw those ones out though.  Too much stuff that I didn’t want to remember.  I have had deep issues that I’ve worked through in part through the blog.  I’ve had some light-hearted moments that I wanted to remember.  Also some milestones such as babies walking and birthdays.  And I love knowing that I have some of it recorded in word.  I haven’t been great at keeping up baby books.  I regret that now, but I can’t change it.  What I can change is how I record things from now on.

And so, I must record, for posterity, something that I’m sure I’ve stated previously.  Be it know, from henceforth, that I am not, nor ever shall I be, a lover of Crocs.  Or Holeys.  Or any other knock-off.  I think they are absolutely adorable on those ten and younger.  But for those older than ten, please…..There are so many other options for footwear out there - and yes, even comfortable footwear - that are stylish and cute.  Must we continue to subject society to such an un-integrous fashion design?  Around the house, gardening, etc…I can see them being used for such things.  But so are orange and black rubber boots.  I’ve seen Crocs., ect. in such places as shopping malls, restaurants, and worst of all, church!  PLEASE STOP!  The mental images haunt me in the night.  The memories embed themselves so that much trauma is realized.  If you must insist on wearing them, please, for the betterment of society, could you do two things?  Don’t wear them EVERYWHERE, and please, please, PLEASE don’t wear them with socks.
