March BreakMarch 6th, 2007 @ 1:48 pm
Because we have become accustomed to waking around 5 am due to Greg’s schedule, it is often hard for us to sleep in on weekends or days off. And we are still tired. But it’s been great so far this week. I’m glad to see Greg especially sleeping well, he’s so exhausted from the schedule he keeps. He does have a couple of adult clients this week, but it’s a much lighter schedule, only a couple of hours each day, and we can even go with him.
Today Luke is finally having his first real session with the new speech therapist. I’m hoping this will get his languange skills up, as his assessment in September had him below low average still, particularly with receptive language.
Next week, I will be getting together with my friend Dawn. She and I are both feeling overwhelmed with lots of kids, homeschooling, and keeping homes. So we talked on Sunday and decided we would pool our time and energy. We both find it easier to work with or for someone else than to actually get our own stuff done on our own. So we figured we can work together, get laundry folded, and floors cleaned, and have fellowship while doing it. I really want things organized and running smoothly before Baby comes and summer hits. I would like to spend the summer just enjoying the new babe, hanging out with the kids outside, and having picnics and bbq’s, not wading through clutter.
We have spent a few March Break’s away, but this year we’re home. And that’s fine with me. We thought we might try to get away for an overnight, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. That’s fine. Sometimes it’s nice to do nothing, or at least less.
